Install on Linux
Native Linux launcher for ArcheAge Origins. The game client still runs under Steam Proton; standalone Wine or Proton outside Steam is rejected.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Steam with Proton Experimental or Proton Hotfix, plus Steam Linux Runtime, installed from Steam.
- Steamworks Common Redistributables (provides the DirectX June 2010 CABs). Repair this package in Steam if the launcher reports missing shader files.
- System webview stack:
webkit2gtk-4.1/gtk3and X11 libraries. If a library is missing, the dynamic loader exits at startup and names it. - An active freedesktop Secret Service provider for retained sign-in: GNOME Keyring, KWallet (
ksecretd), or KeePassXC. Having a wallet package installed is not enough iforg.freedesktop.secretsis inactive on your session bus. - A verified ArcheAge

If no supported Proton or Steam Linux Runtime is installed, the UI tells you what to install from Steam and leaves Play disabled.
If you still need the client itself, use the launcher’s supported-r208022 download link (opens MEGA in your browser). Details: Getting started.
Upgrading to 0.3.5
Section titled “Upgrading to 0.3.5”Version 0.3.5 adds recovery for interrupted launcher updates and uses your existing ArcheAge Origins profile. Recovery applies to updates that run the 0.3.5 helper; the update from an older version still uses its older helper.
If you are upgrading from a version before 0.3.4, the rebrand starts a fresh launcher profile. Sign in again, select your existing client folder and a Steam-installed Proton, and set any custom launcher preferences again. The launcher prepares a new managed Proton prefix and hashes the client files again. Your existing game installation can be reused.
If you install the archive manually, close the previous launcher before starting v0.3.5.
WebKit compositing (NVIDIA / Wayland)
Section titled “WebKit compositing (NVIDIA / Wayland)”The launcher disables WebKit accelerated compositing by default because it can crash NVIDIA’s Wayland connection. To override:
WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=0 ./aaemu-launcherTiling window managers
Section titled “Tiling window managers”Installation settings include a window title bar toggle for tiling WMs.
